Where we began...
New Lenox Machine Co. Inc., A family owned and operated company, was established
in 1970 by owner and President Alan Seniw in the then small town of New Lenox, IL. Specializing in the Screw Machine Products Industry for 30 years we were awarded a government contract in
June 1985 to develop and produce the 14.5mm BS41 Soviet Round. New Lenox
Ordnance, a division of New Lenox Machine Co. Inc., together manufacture
Specialty Projectiles for the U.S. Army and other testing laboratories.
Our Specialty Projectiles are used solely for Scientific, Experimental, Research
& Development for testing armor and various products during the research
phase. We are the sole source of the 14.5mm BS41 and 14.5mm B32
projectiles for Aberdeen Proving Grounds and have the capability of
manufacturing projectiles from steel, tungsten and tungsten carbide. We
also manufacture a full line of US and Soviet projectiles. As
developer/manufacture of the New Lenox Machine Co. Inc. Powder Breech Systems,
we manufacture Powder Breech Systems for use in Ballistic Testing
Laboratories in different calibers ranging from 5.56mm to 40mm cannon barrels. We
manufacture a 30mm system capable of launching 20mm FSP's at OVER 5000 fps for
testing the effects of shrapnel from (IED's) Improvised Explosive Devices.
We also have the capability to manufacture Rifled and Smooth Bore barrels up to
12' long. Our facilities include a 200 foot indoor ballistic test range
for testing your experimental products. NLMC offers projectiles ranging
from 5.56mm to 40mm. Our ballistic test range is available for companies
that do not have their own range facilities. With our qualified personal
we are capable of setting up a test program, performing tests and reporting
data/results on our customers products.
In 1998, as part of the management's program of
continuous improvement and satisfying the requirements of customers, the company
achieved approval to the internationally recognized quality management standard
ISO9002 which was upgraded to the ISO9001. As of date, we are current with our ISO certification.

Where we are NOW...
In 2000 the company relocated to a 25,000 sq. ft. facility in small town Dwight, IL. We are now located 1.5 miles east of US Rt. 47 on US Rt. 17, approximately 65miles southwest of Chicago, IL.
Today, we specialize in a few different categories. One being armor piercing projectiles which are used to test anything from body armor to heavy tank armor.
Our capabilities do not stop there. We also manufacture different size gun and cannon barrels. Barrels range anywhere from small arms, like .223 cal, to cannon barrels up to 110mm with a length up to 14’ long. We are also able to produced ballistic test cannons from a 14.5 Russian to 50mm.
We now produce a wide range of gun barrels for single orders to large commercial size orders. From barrel blanks to finish turned barrels. Our barrels are NOT button rifled but rather CUT RIFLED to ensure amazing accuracy and to extend the life of each barrel.
